TU Dublin Webinar 23 April 2020 – Supporting remote working for design teams

Technological University Dublin (TU Dublin) will be hosting a webinar on 23rd April, from 11:30am – 1pm GMT, aimed at supporting and demonstrating how project teams can transition to collaborating online, working from home.

The live webinar, entitled ‘Moving design teams to remote working and online collaboration: lessons in the use of Autodesk’s BIM 360 Cloud Solutions Platform’ will also feature a 20-minute Q&A with TU Dublin experts and guests from Autodesk.

During this session – aimed at project design team members within architects, engineers, and contractors – participants will learn about:

  • Broombridge Design + Construct Centre – Autodesk BIM 360, uniting all AEC disciplines,
  • Setting up a BIM 360 project,
  • Creating teams & permissions,
  • Creation of automatic folders in BIM 360 Docs,
  • Cloud collaboration methodologies through BIM 360,
  • Using BIM 360 as an educational review, feedback, monitoring & continuous assessment tool,
  • Tracking of collaboration, activity & engagement,
  • Moving the module seamlessly from classroom setting to fully online,
  • Using Model Coordination within BIM 360 for clash detection,
  • Overview of how Field Management can be used to generate issues, checklists, and its integration with mobile apps,
  • Using BIM 360 Cost Management to track costs, budgets, materials, and change orders,
  • Applying BIM 360 to track RFIs, Issues, submittals, and create minutes,
  • Lean Construction in the cloud through BIM 360 Plan.

The webinar will feature speakers including Kevin Furlong and Dr Barry McAuley, lecturers for the School of Multidisciplinary Technologies at TU Dublin, joined by Emma Hayes from TU Dublin and Daniel Wood and Stuart Tanfield from Autodesk for the Q&A session.
