Final call to WIN a visit from Autodesk’s BIM 360 food truck in September

The Autodesk BIM 360 team are on a mission to celebrate the work of construction site workers and see the projects you’re building right now. After touring sites in the US and Europe, they will be crossing the pond in September to visit teams in the UK and Ireland during the week of 11th September 2017.

Over the past few months, Autodesk has been running a competition for construction teams based in London, Manchester and Dublin to nominate and vote for their projects. The three sites with the most votes in each city will receive a visit from Autodesk BIM 360’s ‘Feed My Crew’ food truck, as well as partners Diatec in Dublin. They will be rustling up free food for site workers, either breakfast, lunch or an afternoon snack, and offering plenty of giveaways too.

The BIM 360 team also want to help make on-the-job lives a little easier and more productive. They will be bringing along their iPads to show you the latest tips and tricks on how to get to grips with the software, which offers real-time, cloud-based collaboration, recording and document management for construction projects. So, whether you want to find out more about the software as a whole, or learn about specific features such as Glue, Docs and Field, the Autodesk team will be on hand to answer your questions.

Sarah Hodges, Director, Construction Business Line at Autodesk, comments, “Global demand for construction output is forecast to increase to $17.5 trillion by 2030. With teams already feeling the pressure to deliver projects on time, within budget and of good quality, there are sure to be challenges along the way. But we must remember, we’re also entering a very exciting time as technology continues to transform the industry and deliver greater project efficiencies.”

She continues, “The Autodesk BIM 360 team want to celebrate this transformation by visiting live construction projects around the world and meet the great site teams bringing them to life. We’ve already ticked off a few countries and now it’s the UK and Ireland’s turn. We look forward to seeing the winning teams in London, Manchester and Dublin in September!”

How to Enter

The competition is closing at the end of August, so there’s still time to get your nominations in and make your votes count.

Head to the BIM 360 ‘Feed My Crew’ website and follow these three simple steps:

  1. Sign up and nominate your construction project
  2. Autodesk will add your company and project to the leaderboards of either London, Manchester or Dublin
  3. Get your team to vote for your project by clicking the ‘Vote’ button and sharing the post on Facebook and Twitter

You’ll be able to keep an eye on the leaderboards for each city to see how your project is performing. Autodesk will announce the winning construction sites on 1st September 2017.
