CitA in association with Irish building magazine and BIMIreland.ie are launching the ‘Irish BIM Innovation Awards’ today.

The awards will consist of a one-day conference, on November 10th, where shortlisted entrants will present their submissions in the award categories of Design, Construction, and Operations/Asset Management. The awards will set an industry benchmark and provide an opportunity to showcase Irish BIM Innovation. The Irish BIM Innovation Awards 2016 will be held at the Gibson Hotel, Dublin, on Thursday, November 10th. The day event will be followed by an awards presentation and dinner that evening.

This competition will celebrate and acknowledge the innovative projects which are pioneering in their use of BIM tools and processes within the Irish Construction Industry.

One team may submit proposals covering several categories, and organisations may also participate in several categories.

Speaking to BIMIreland.ie, CitA Founding Director Dr Alan Hore said, ‘The awards seek to capture the capability of the Irish Construction Industry to respond to the increased requirement in the future for BIM on Irish construction and engineering projects. Entrants to the competition will be able to self-nominate for shortlist selection. Shortlisted entrants will be provided with the opportunity to present alongside keynote speakers followed by an evening awards dinner where the overall winners will be formally announced.’
