International law firm Kennedys has welcomed Noel Devins, from DWF Fishburns, as a new partner in its expanding Dublin office.
Noel is a professional indemnity (PI) litigator with over ten years’ experience, advising insurers and a wide range of professionals, including: architects, engineers, surveyors, solicitors, financial advisors, brokers and valuers in relation to professional indemnity insurance claims.
Joining the six other partners in the Dublin office (which opened in 2011), Noel will work with insurers defending claims against professionals, particularly construction professionals and valuers, as well as advising on policy coverage issues. Also joining from DWF Fishburns is professional indemnity specialist, Mary-Claire Coakley, whose skill in dealing with claims against solicitors extends Kennedys’ strength and depth in the professional indemnity arena.
Senior Partner, Nick Thomas, welcomes Noel to the Dublin Insurance team: “Noel and Mary-Claire’s excellent experience strengthens our Dublin PI offering. Supported by London, our Dublin office has broadened its offering to both local and London Market insurers, as part of our professional indemnity expansion across our network. Our Dublin office serves as an important part of this offering, dealing with an increasing flow of instructions from offices in the UK and across our international offices.”
Noel Devins adds: “I wanted to join Kennedys as they have a defined vision for creating a sustainable infrastructure to expand further into the Irish market. The team in Dublin, Belfast and throughout England is well established with an excellent reputation and I look forward to helping enhance their expertise further.”
These appointments complement recent recruitment across Kennedys including professional indemnity hires, Andrew Crocombe and Angela Horne in Taunton, and promoting professional indemnity and insurance specialist Matt Deaville to partner.
Also joining the Dublin office is Maria Gleeson, a personal injury solicitor, formerly of BLM Ireland.
