There are 212 students enrolled at the school with nine teachers and four Resource/Learning Support teachers and four Special Needs Assistants on staff.
Speaking at the school, the Minister said,”I’m delighted to be here to open this new extension to the school building. I have no doubt that the additional facilities will benefit all in the area”.
“I am particularly pleased to see that students in the school now have high quality accommodation, instead of prefabs, in which to learn. Fenor NS is one of 137 schools which has so far benefitted from the Prefab Replacement Initiative.”
Minister Quinn thanked the principal, Tim O’Byrne, the Board of Management and everyone who worked so hard to complete the project and wished them every success for the future.
“I know that the new school hall has been used for a number of local parish and community events. This shows a very active parent community and Parents’ Council, who support the principal and staff in their work, so very well done to you all,” he said.
