Indeed the world’s leading job site, has announced expansion plans for its Dublin based Europe, the Middle East and Africa (EMEA) headquarters, adding more than 100 new employees in the next 12 months.

The company has already started recruiting for sales, client services, business development, marketing, finance and operations, which will help companies across EMEA to maximise the return on their recruitment spend, while continuing to offer the best job search experience for job seekers.

Indeed is the world’s most popular job search service, with sites in more than 50 countries and 28 languages. Unlike most job sites which only show paid listings, Indeed brings together the most job listings from employer career sites, staffing agencies, job boards, and newspaper career pages. Every month over 100 million job seekers find and apply to jobs on Indeed through a desktop, tablet, or smartphone with a single search. Indeed makes it easy for job seekers to create job alerts which notify them as soon as new jobs are posted meeting their unique criteria.

Indeed opened its first Dublin office in March 2012 and in the last 18 months has hired over 100 employees.  Due to its rapid growth Indeed has already expanded into a larger premises in the Bloodstone building on Dublin’s Sir John Rogerson Quay.  The company plans to double its current workforce to over 200 people in the next 12 months.

This project has been supported by the Department of Jobs, Enterprise and Innovation through IDA Ireland and Minister Bruton met the company as part of a recent IDA mission to east coast USA.

“Over the past 18 months Dublin has proven itself as the  ideal location for a high–growth technology company like Indeed.  Our Dublin HQ has given us an opportunity to tap into an incredible source of tech-savvy talent, both locally, from the rest of Europe and further afield,” said David Rudick, vice president, International of Indeed.”

“Our continued growth stems from of our unwavering commitment to providing the best job search experience to the job seeker and providing employers with place to find the right candidates.  In Ireland, for example, we index jobs from over 3,000 sources and we added over 10,000 new Irish jobs to the site in the last seven days on Indeed.com.”

An Tánaiste, Mr. Eamon Gilmore T.D, who is expected to host a press conference from the new Indeed office in Dublin, said “I’m delighted to welcome the further expansion of Indeed in Dublin with 100 new jobs.  Ireland is becoming the internet capital of Europe with companies like Indeed offering great opportunities to our passionate, highly-skilled workforce.  The Government, through its Action Plan for Jobs, will continue to make the changes to ensure Ireland remains competitive and a natural home for digital companies.  Indeed’s growing footprint in Ireland is a welcome statement of its commitment to this country.”

The Minister for Jobs, Enterprise and Innovation, Richard Bruton T.D added “ICT is a key sector we have targeted through the Government’s Action Plan for Jobs, and since we took office we have seen substantial growth in this area.  Today’s announcement that indeed, the world’s largest job site, is expanding its operations in Dublin and more than doubling its workforce here with the creation of 100 jobs is great news and further evidence that the plan is working. I know from meeting them with IDA in the USA that this is a highly innovative company and today’s announcement is a major boost for Ireland. We in Government are determined to continue building on this, to attract further investments and create the jobs we need.”

Barry O’Leary, CEO at IDA Ireland said, “Indeed is one of the jewels in the crown of the Irish-based “born on the internet” companies. The Indeed decision to expand here is very welcome news for the Irish economy and further endorses the country’s reputation as a location to service the whole European, Middle Eastern and African regions.”

Established in 2004, Indeed has grown rapidly, with staff doubling year over year for the past two years. The company has also enjoyed strong traffic growth and now has over 100 million monthly unique visitors worldwide.  Indeed currently has four offices in the US and offices in Dublin, Dusseldorf London, and Sydney, with plans for further international expansion.
