Viking Glass Ltd has successfully emerged from its examinership process securing 25 jobs, reports the Journal this morning.

The Wexford-based business, which has been trading for 75 years, manufactures and supplies energy efficient double-glazed units.

The company entered into examinership in October 2012.

A survival plan was presented to the High Court by examiner Neil Hughes, managing partner of Hughes Blake, putting together a scheme of arrangement accepted by the company’s creditors. Mr Justice McGovern approved the scheme yesterday afternoon allowing the company to exit examinership as a going concern.

“The successful outcome for Wexford Viking Glass is a tribute to the continued efforts and support of the company’s employees, partners, suppliers and customers,” said Hughes. “The successful conclusion of this process once again underlines the value of examinership in facilitating the survival of fundamentally good companies and the jobs they provide.” Source: The Journal
