The CitA BIM Gathering, Ireland’s leading academic forum in BIM and digital construction processes, is taking place in Croke Park on 23rd-24th November.
This two-day conference seeks to unravel the complexities of introducing Building Information Modelling (BIM) into a construction industry that is both fragmented and conservative in its use of innovative technologies. The conference will present papers that will address the difficulties and challenges faced by the industry in creating an environment for BIM to deliver improved project outcomes.
The Gathering allows leading academic and industry experts to exchange knowledge about the challenges faced and strategies adopted to support BIM in international construction regions. Attendees can learn how BIM can be aligned to support national programmes that are aimed at delivering greater efficiencies and serve overall societal needs, along with the guiding principles, benefits and challenges that BIM can bring to their businesses.
Following on from 2013 and 2015, 2017 will be the third year of the BIM Gathering and will build upon the great success of past events. The conference will continue to act as a focal point for all stakeholders, both from home and abroad to come together to share their research, case studies and experiences of working with BIM. This year is particularly significant as this will be the year that the National BIM Council will set out its vision for a more digitally enabled Irish construction sector.
