CitA Tech Live media partner BIMIreland.ie speaks with Diatec about the company’s products and services.
Can you describe your products or services?
Diatec understands the evolution of the Irish construction industry and the technology requirements of this market. This includes emerging technologies, new workflows and solutions to deliver projects faster, minimise risk and enable organisations to deal with the growing complexities of projects. Diatec’s business focusses on helping customers with technology adoption, implementation, training and consultancy in the following key areas:
– Autodesk BIM 360 Platform – ‘Digital Project Delivery’ including software, consultancy, training and implementation.
– Autodesk AEC Software – Software deployment, training and BIM consultancy (including BIM Implementation).
– IT procurement and systems implementation for the AEC sector – On Premise, Hybrid and Cloud provisioned IT infrastructure (includes HP Servers and storage, Azure and 365 cloud services, Revit workstations, Citrix deployed Revit and much more).
What makes your products stand out from the competition?
The Autodesk BIM 360 solution is an integrated platform.
BIM 360 Docs – is the foundation for all work managed in BIM 360. As any AEC project kicks off, this is where it should start. It’s the place to centralise, control and give access to project information for all team members.
BIM 360 Design – the Design package integrates workflows that happen during the design phase of the project into the BIM 360 common data platform for ease of transition into construction. Design teams can seamlessly review and collaborate throughout the design phase. Workflows include co-authoring shared Revit models, coordinating deliverables with multidiscipline design teams, tracking deliverables exchanged, and visualising changes between deliverables in aggregated models.
BIM 360 Glue – allows teams to streamline VDC and BIM collaboration through the acceleration of model aggregation and clash detection including conducting constructability reviews, identify costly issues in the pre-construction phase, improve multi-discipline coordination, and automate clash detection and speed reviews.
BIM 360 Build – Improves construction quality control and jobsite safety by giving users improved construction quality control and reduced rework, the use of checklists to promote jobsite safety programme conformance, ability to create, assign and manage issues, RFIs and Submittals, and track field performance with construction daily reports.
All packages come with insight tools in our project analytics offering as well as general document management capabilities including file sharing, publishing drawings, version control, and document comparison features.
You will be exhibiting Autodesk BIM 360 at CitA Tech Live. Can you describe what advantages it offers?
Autodesk BIM 360 is a cloud platform for AEC project delivery and construction management. Whether you are a design manager, a construction manager, a construction site supervisor, building owner, operations manager or anything in between, the Autodesk BIM 360 platform can provide the right tools for enabling you to meet your project planning and delivery responsibilities.
As a single connected platform that brings data together in a common data environment, BIM 360 delivers the distinct advantage of being able to minimise the integration limitations of previous generation software that often worked on disparate platforms, which enables project delivery and management across the building lifecycle.
