daa is now recruiting for the position of Spatial Data Systems Manager, working within the Asset Management team, this role will support Dublin Airport Asset Care, Operations and Planning with spatial data management and analysis, cartography and related GIS activities.
The post holder will lead and coordinate the development of CAD integration into GIS with a future development of BIM as asset information data maturity develops. The role holder will work with project delivery teams and information system managers to integrate spatial data with transactional CMMS work management, financial, customer and time stamping to develop a fully integrated Asset Information Management System.

Qualifications:
Qualification in GIS/BIM or Geography or similar
Minimum of two years’ geospatial data management experience
High proficiency in AutoCAD and experience in GIS
Working knowledge of BIM
A good understanding of civil, mechanical and electrical engineering
Familiar with CAD standards, codes of practice, and document control
Demonstrable capability in managing large volumes of spatial data from a variety of sources and
high proficiency in master data control
Experience of integrating master data with transactional data to develop reports
Track record of developing GIS data specifications, standards and procedures

Key responsibilities:
Develop data specifications and standards to ensure consistent creation of spatial data
Develop Dublin Airport client based CAD master drawings
Act as single point of contact between Project Delivery service providers and Dublin Airport for CAD
delivery
Reviewing of submitted drawings for quality and completeness and extraction of the necessary
information required for integration into master drawings
Develop and maintain a GIS database ensuring data integrity, quality and auditability
Quality assure data before translations between CAD and GIS
Integration of transactional asset related data from other corporate databases into GIS (financial,
work, permits, condition, performance, levels, energy etc.)
Production of drawing registers and maintenance of in-house drawing document control systems
Liaising with other team members – planners, engineers, architects, management, administration –
as necessary
Liaising with External Consultants as required
Issue drawings, documents and reports
Undertake regular reviews of spatial data standards, procedures and quality
Documenting and communicating CAD / GIS / BIM standards for project work
Communicate early and effectively to Project Delivery (Designers and Project Managers) on data
standards and client requirements for project delivery
Sample and validate data on sites to assess project delivery data quality for continuous
improvement activities
Represent the Asset Management team on asset information related issues
