Passive house construction applies to all buildings and results in houses, schools and other buildings with a comfortable interior climate without active heating systems. This is achieved through an airtight building with high levels of insulation. Maximum use is made of heat generated by everyday occupant activity, appliances and most importantly the sun. The benefits of this type of construction include low energy bills, improved air quality, consistent comfort throughout the house and the elimination of condensation.
