Dublin City Councillors are calling on the Environment Minister Phil Hogan to attend their next meeting in order to clarify confusion over when water charges will be introduced.
It follows conflicting statements from the Government about when people will begin to be charged for their supply.
Dublin City Councillors last night unanimously adopted a Fianna Fáil motion opposing the introduction of water charges until a reliable water supply is in place for the capital.
Water restrictions have been placed on homes and businesses in Dublin in the past week because of a shortage in supply.
Fianna Fáil Councillor Mary Fitzpatrick said residents deserve to know whether there will be a secure supply of water to the city. The Examiner.
